Alfred had a severe heart attack in an ambulance where his heart stopped and had to be restarted three times with defibrillation. During the first cardiac arrest, he was suddenly somewhere else - completely dark and void of sounds, but immersed in an emotional cacophony of positive feelings unlike anything in earthly experience. He was convinced he was in the presence of the Holy Spirit, experiencing no concept of time, pain, sorrow, or fear. The being seemed to be part of him and communicated that His nature is the conduit to all good that happens in life, that humans misunderstand Him, and nothing happens except through Him. He urged Alfred to share this message with everyone who would listen. During subsequent heart attacks fourteen months later with blood pressure dropping to 53/26, Alfred's vision changed to seeing a mountain range in the distance, all black including the mountains, with bright white light beyond. The Holy Spirit told him to hang on and that reaching the white light meant survival. After the experience, Alfred gained a profound connection with the Holy Spirit and later was guided to comfort a dying man in a car accident, holding his hand during his transition.
