At age thirteen, Alex was swimming in a river and walked into a pothole, dropping into water over his head. Unable to swim, he struggled but took in water and sank after crying for help twice. After his last breath left and he could no longer fight, he experienced intense burning pain throughout his body, particularly his head feeling on fire and in a vise. Then came a popping sensation as he passed through the water in half a second. From a bird's eye view forty feet up, he saw two men discussing his drowning, with one jumping in to save him. He floated toward a blinding white light, feeling amazing peace without any cares, his body made of energy and air with a slight glow. His non-physical arms retained form with hands and fingers he could open and close. Seeing his body pulled out and laid against a tree, he felt intense hatred for being outside his body. When someone pushed on his waist expelling water and his body took a breath, he was instantly snapped back inside from forty feet away, going from seeing the tops of heads to seeing faces.
