Wilma had a severe reaction to medication after giving birth to her second child on May 18, 1993. Despite strong faith in Jesus, she was scared to die. She had trouble breathing, knew she was dying, but felt oddly unafraid. She closed her eyes and experienced complete darkness and confusion, realizing she was in a tunnel. Frightened, she saw a glowing light and a hand reaching out. She grabbed it and was pulled to the other side where a radiantly beautiful spirit guide greeted her.
The guide told her it wasn't her time, that God wanted her to take life more seriously or she would die soon. She was told to return to care for her children and be more understanding toward her mother. The guide said he would always be there for her. Despite feeling incredible peace, calmness, and love she had never experienced before, she was sent back. She cried, not wanting to leave the overwhelming love of heaven. She watched the experience of being pushed back into her painful body. Now with kidney disease and nine years on dialysis, she doesn't fear death and helps chronically ill people not fear it either. She believes we're here to love one another in life's learning experience, like high school preparing for graduation to a higher realm. She now has psychic abilities, seeing deceased relatives including her aunt Edna who visited after passing. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience includes a tunnel often reported in Christian NDEs, divine messengers providing guidance, being sent back with purpose to care for family, transformative effects leading to service of others, and the concept of life as preparation for heaven. The peace and love experienced align with biblical descriptions of God's presence. Unbiblical elements: The shift to non-denominational beliefs stating "we are all trying to get to the same God but in different ways" contradicts evangelical exclusivity. Development of medium abilities to "read spirits" conflicts with biblical prohibitions against consulting the dead (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
