At age five, Stacy was at the Pageant of the Masters show in Laguna Beach where her mother worked. Well-known for running around backstage, she went to buy popcorn with change from her mother. Having a habit of putting things in her mouth, she accidentally swallowed a nickel that closed off her esophagus. She began choking and a crowd gathered. EMTs were called and when they arrived her lips were blue and she hadn't breathed for several minutes. During this time, she distinctly remembers hovering above the scene, viewing everything in black and white with no bright light or tunnel. She could draw exactly where she was lying to this day. Before the EMT could perform a tracheotomy, her mother arrived and pounded on her back frantically until the coin flew out. Since the experience, she developed heightened awareness and extreme intuition, able to "read" people within minutes of meeting them and see fleeting images of events just before they happen, which has saved her life several times.
