Tony experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm while at work in 1993, resulting in a grade III subarachnoid hemorrhage. He spent 65 days in coma, including 15 days in deep coma at the last stage before brain death with total absence of reflexes. During the experience, he found himself in a tunnel with faint foggy light, encountering multiple branching paths. He counted 450 tunnel branches while walking toward a wonderful light. The atmosphere was marvelous with overwhelming well-being, feeling so light he thought he could fly. He emerged in a vibrant forest with fluorescent green colors and a colossal tree with snow, feeling profound energy and security. A deep voice told him "It isn't time" and made his entire being vibrate. His life flashed before him showing only wayward moments that tormented him. He begged for help and later opened his eyes, staring at a door for two hours until a neurosurgeon from Los Angeles arrived. The surgeon, in Rome for a conference, agreed to operate using a new embolization technique with only local anesthesia, removing platinum spirals from the aneurysm. Tony transformed from an atheist criminal to a believer who sees God's design in everything, loves Him, and follows His teachings based on love.
