Selosse was swimming in Loire River when caught in strong current near bridge, swept toward rocks. His knee struck rocks with such force he fainted from pain. While unconscious underwater, he experienced darkness and floating sensation with continued mental function, thinking "this is death, not so bad." An unknown but clear voice told him "No, you're not going to die, it's really not your time yet (you'll live to be very old) and you're going to get out of this." The voice has manifested many times since when needed, not just for him but warning of danger to others. He developed psychic abilities, mental influence over others (like hypnosis), premonitions of death, and wishes that come true. He interprets the voice as either another self, spirit of living/deceased loved one, or God. Uses abilities as policeman with reputation for being lucky with keen intuition.
