Tawnie was at a swimming pool with friends when she got into difficulty and found herself drowning, swallowing water rapidly. When another girl kicked her to the bottom of the pool, her life flashed before her eyes showing mainly happy times including Christmas and birthdays. She then found herself in a tunnel with a small, bright white light at the far end, moving fairly fast toward it. She knew with absolute certainty she was dead but couldn't understand how she could still be thinking. She had no sense of physical body, only thoughts remained. Unconditional love and peace enveloped her. Two presences who knew her but whom she had never met communicated telepathically that it was "not her time" and she "had to go back." They conveyed other information she cannot remember. She returned through the tunnel back to her body as the lifeguard was giving her CPR. She was only conscious briefly before spending three weeks in an oxygen tent at the hospital.
