Paul was on a road trip with friend Rick when they had a 45 mph head-on collision with a semi-truck. Paul woke up in intensive care with his uncle from Northern California present. During the experience, Rick stopped him with a commanding voice saying it wasn't his time. Paul hovered over his body and saw his teeth or blood on the road. He knew Rick was in heaven and that Rick's words sent him back. Paul reports that the semi was red despite being unconscious during the accident. He couldn't properly grieve with Rick's family afterward.
