Lynne experienced a traumatic NDE following childbirth complications in January 1976. After an 11-hour labor and dangerous "jet stream birth" where the baby shot out causing severe tearing, she collapsed when staff tried to sit her up. To escape overwhelming kidney pain and exhaustion, she deliberately slipped out of her body, positioning herself partially out with her soul's head above the bed while legs remained in her body. She observed chaos as nurses shouted about missing oxygen masks, multiple staff rushed in, blood was brought to defrost on radiators, and doctors performed cardiac massage. She saw a junior doctor frantically turning pages without reading, heard blood pressure callouts, witnessed portable x-ray arrival for suspected pulmonary embolism, and observed an older doctor's anger when urine samples were discarded. Floating up a foggy tunnel at 70 degrees, she felt pressure stopping her as God's voice asked about her decision. Shown a vision of her daughter's unhappy upbringing with strict grandparents versus her own loving care, she chose to return despite wanting to stay. Angels applauded her decision. Returning to her body felt like forcing something soft into a small metal casket, bringing back pain, claustrophobia, and deep despair. She has regretted returning for 33 years, feeling Earth is hell.
