Mark A experienced a unique NDE following a severe motorcycle accident in October 2003. Riding at 70-75 mph, he was blindsided at an intersection, catapulted 100 feet through the air. His experience differed markedly from typical NDEs - no tunnel, light, or deceased relatives. Instead, he found himself observing three hooded figures sitting around a campfire at night. The fire had unusual silver, snake-like flames that seemed alive. The figures spoke in an unknown language resembling Hebrew or speaking in tongues. Mark felt no pain, existing in a trance-like state about 12 feet from the scene. When the beings noticed him and spoke in unison saying he wasn't supposed to be there, he instantly returned to his body in extreme pain. He suffered a ruptured spleen with internal bleeding, fractured vertebrae T7-T9, pituitary damage, and compound arm fracture, spending four weeks in ICU with life-threatening complications including deep vein thrombosis.
