On March 27, 2001, Leta woke at 4:00 AM and went to the bathroom where she began feeling queasy and faint. The next thing she remembered was flying super-fast, head first down a long, dark hallway. Someone on her right was holding her arm and taking her somewhere. She could tell this person knew exactly where they were going and had a mission to bring her there. She was screaming "no, no, no" and didn't want to go. She could see objects going by on each side but couldn't identify them due to the speed. The journey felt long. They stopped in front of a door on the left, and she was determined not to go through it.
Her husband later told her she had a seizure, had stopped breathing, and was turning grey. He tipped her head back to get her breathing, then she began seizing. It took her about half an hour to figure out what happened, where she was, and who her husband was. The experience left her knowing there is more after death, though she was frightened during the experience itself and didn't want to go wherever the being was taking her. She reported heightened consciousness throughout, with incredibly vivid senses and faster thoughts. Everything happened very fast in a place where time had no meaning. She could see the being beside her and sensed their purposeful mission. When she spoke, it sounded like her voice wasn't coming from herself.
