Peter R experienced three negative NDEs within three months in 1987, all from heart/lung failure due to self-neglect. In the first experience, after severe chest pain and physical death, he found himself outside his body facing a spirit who told him his death was considered suicide. A screen showed negative aspects of his character in human form who attacked him. He was told "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HURT YOURSELF OR ANYONE ELSE, BECAUSE YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE ARE THE PERSONAL PROPERTY OF GOD." He was sent back after showing concern for a young neighbor. The second experience was reversed through prayer acknowledging partial non-responsibility. The third experience returned him to the black void where he faced himself until accepting the need to change his thinking and living. All experiences emphasized that love of self indicates how well one can love others.
