Paul H experienced an out-of-body experience during a motor racing accident in 1997. He collided with two cars in front of him and at the moment of impact was lifted out of his vehicle. He hovered above the still-moving car and could see everything in detail including the color of his helmet. The experience was peaceful with no sound or speech. He felt no fear, only peace and happiness. His past briefly flashed before him immediately after impact. He then suddenly regained consciousness and was back in the car. Though not considered life-threatening, the experience left him wanting to experience the same peaceful feeling again.
