Six-year-old Alida was drowning when a raft overturned in a swimming pool, also trying to grab another child who fell in. The horrible drowning scene with desperate attempts to breathe transformed into something beautiful with many colors. Someone was nearby (identity unknown) and she saw a "sun" overhead that drew her irresistibly. She was told telepathically she couldn't go to it. Despite knowing she wasn't allowed, the attraction was too great and she tried to disobey. As she attempted to approach the light, she was instantly projected back into her body, hearing people telling her to throw up water. Upon opening her eyes, she searched for the sun, which now seemed small and colorless compared to what she had seen. The experience strengthened her Christian faith with no room for doubt. She didn't know others had similar experiences until reading about NDEs ten years later.
