Bart fell into a deep coma due to severe acute hepatitis and urgently needed a liver transplant. Doctors estimated he had less than a day to live and he was placed at the top of the transplant list in England. He was unconscious for a week before a liver became available. During his NDE, he experienced overwhelming feelings of joy and peace beyond anything describable. Time seemed meaningless and he felt he was taken on an emotional journey through the joy of his childhood. His experience felt extra-dimensional with vision that seemed to allow him to see emotions rather than physical sight. Everything was light and pure, and he felt he existed in another dimension far from everyday experience. After receiving the transplant, he made a full recovery and no longer fears death.
