Annie was hit by a car while crossing a street, suffering serious cranial trauma including temporal bone fracture and cerebral hematoma. She experienced cardiac and respiratory arrest and was in a coma for 20 hours. During her NDE, she found herself at the end of a dark tube with a luminous blue light. She encountered many deceased relatives including her mother (d. 1995), father (d. 1972), grandparents, and great-grandparents, all appearing about 35 years old and wearing blue tunics. Her mother told her it wasn't her time and to go back and fight. Annie was then sucked back through the tube and saw herself in the corner of her hospital room, watching medical staff using defibrillator paddles on her body before being thrown back into it.
