Sana went to the maternity hospital for natural childbirth in 1989. After the baby was delivered, the placenta did not come out despite the doctor applying pressure to help. Due to a congenital defect in the uterus, the doctor decided general anesthesia was needed to manually remove the placenta. As she began feeling the ceiling coming down on her, she started rising from Earth toward the ceiling and entered a spiral tunnel. The spiral brought her quickly to the top with an indescribably pleasant feeling. While in the tunnel, she imagined her husband and gave him final recommendations about their newborn child, telling him she was dying and to take good care of the children, including taking one to her grandmother. She repeatedly testified "there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of God." The journey through the spiral tunnel was smooth, quick, and pleased. She was then brought back to consciousness and found herself still alive, feeling grief because she lost that indescribable feeling of satisfaction, recognition, and joy.
