This secondhand account describes the NDE of a 25-year-old man dying from AIDS complications with lymphoma. After three weeks in hospital with tumors spreading throughout his body and pneumonia, he underwent chemotherapy which sent his body into shock, resulting in clinical death. He was brought back and lived another year and a half. During his death, he found himself in a dark place with a bright light above. He felt a strong urge to go into the light, as if people were calling him. However, at his feet he saw a multicolored flower, and something stronger told him to hold onto it with all his might. This was when he was brought back to life. In the remaining year and a half, he felt that "the dead" were watching him - not threatening, but present and observing. He could see them and knew they were watching. Despite the traumatic medical circumstances, he showed tremendous courage in his final period of life.
