Sara was 12 or 13 years old when her father violently assaulted her, punching her in the face and strangling her while slamming her head against wooden stairs. She had been enduring abuse since age six and had recently told him she was pregnant by him. As he strangled her, wringing her neck like a chicken, she fell backward into darkness. She found herself on a dirt lane in a green tunnel of trees in early summer morning, though it was mid-autumn on Earth. She walked down the lane expecting to find Jesus but instead found a medieval-style pavilion. A man in medieval clothing with Celtic/Viking jewelry emerged and identified himself as her "eternal father" (parent rather than gender-specific). He offered her a drink from a golden cup and told her she didn't need to be Christian to get into heaven - just live ethically, believe in a creative force with kindly intent, and help others. He then put her back in her body. Her father screamed about her eyes being weird and fled for two weeks.
