On January 8, 2008, Robert stopped breathing while coming out of anesthesia. He could hear the medical commotion and staff coaching him but couldn't see, move, talk, or breathe. After losing consciousness, a beautiful lady appeared and took his hand. Though he didn't know where she was leading him, he trusted her completely. Upon resuscitation when his breathing tube was removed, staff cheered but Robert cried - not from trauma but because he knew he'd never see that lady again in this life.
He felt enormous love for her and from her. The experience left him with profound peace about never being alone during trying times. Communication with the being was through shared awareness without words. Robert, a Catholic, became more aware of God's love following the experience.
