Patricia was hospitalized on Boxing Day with streptococcal pneumonia, streptococcal septicemia, and E. coli kidney infection after ten days of flu. Despite being critically ill and in ICU, she wanted to go home to her three children for Christmas. That night, she somehow traveled home and watched her family with their gifts from the living room. Her boys (ages 16, 8, and 1.5) didn't know she was there. She felt peaceful watching them and knew they could love and care for each other, but also knew her job wasn't done and she had to return to the hospital. Upon return, a nurse looked at her strangely, her blood pressure was critically low (possibly 80/40), and a code blue was called. She decided she needed to go home again but that whatever was happening wouldn't finish in that room at that point in her life. She thought she was home for three days but staff said it was only Monday when she insisted it was Thursday. She experienced time distortion, tunnel-like travel, and saw her family without them seeing her.
