During routine ovarian cyst removal surgery, Molly's heart stopped for 3-4 minutes. She was Code Blue, shocked three times with paddles to restart her heart, then in a coma for 2-3 days. She was greeted by her grandmother who told her to put on an angel costume and showed her around. She saw her deceased Uncle Stan with a bruise on his forehead (later confirmed by only one person who knew), his bar transformed into a candy/ice cream parlor, her sister's friend who hanged herself, deceased grandfather saying hello twice (one for her mother), and a beautiful church with three large angels who wouldn't let her stay, saying she had things to do.
