Mark G, a Marine on leave before Vietnam deployment, was attacked by a 1,800-pound bull that repeatedly struck him in the chest. His heart stopped and he left his body, noting the heaviness of his arms and body's aches as he departed as spirit/smoke from his stomach area. He traveled forward in time about twenty feet in the air, observing his own funeral with people in black feeling overwhelming sadness. His first thought was compassion for them, not wanting them to grieve. Upon having this compassionate thought, he felt a presence above who heard his thoughts and instantly returned him to his body. He found himself at a fence post with the bull looking shocked. The farmer had to shoot the bull. Mark went to Vietnam shortly after, where his only prayer was not to kill anyone unjustifiably.
