MB experienced an NDE during anesthesia after childbirth following a traumatic delivery. She walked through a rose-colored then yellow tunnel wearing a soft dress, accompanied by a female being. She arrived at a control room in a parallel universe at a higher level of consciousness where beings observed Earth. She was told this was where things really are real, where truth, goodness and harmony exist. She encountered God who reviewed her sacrifices in bringing children into the world, told her she was blessed, and gave her a choice to die or return. After hesitation and a countdown, she chose to return through great effort and struggle. The transition back involved altered perceptions before normal consciousness returned. She accepted her son better after the experience.
