D experienced a catastrophic car crash on March 5, 1978, while driving at 125 MPH. His body was severely mutilated with his left hand severed at the wrist and the lower section of his body separated. He was lying in a pool of blood with massive injuries that appeared fatal.
During his NDE, he left his body and observed the crash scene, seeing his mangled car that looked like a small ball of twisted metal. Additionally, a doctor in 1988 found evidence of remarkable internal surgery from his 1978 injuries that defied medical explanation. Upon returning, he found himself in bed 12 hours later with his hand reattached and body intact, his car mysteriously restored to pristine condition.
