M.E. experienced severe head trauma in an automobile accident and was unconscious for weeks. She has no memory of the accident, rescue, or helicopter flight. Suddenly she was above her body watching as she was rushed through what she perceived as a sky tunnel/bridge on a stretcher with bright sky all around. She observed from above, seeing herself on the stretcher, the medical staff's scrubs and caps from behind, their shoulders and backs, and the floor below.
