At age three, Larry reached into a fish aquarium and grabbed an electric heater. The bulb broke and he was nearly electrocuted, found by his parents grey and ashen, still held by the electrical current. He suffered severe burns to his left arm and nearly lost it. Though he remembers little of the incident itself, he recalls leaving his body and being in a tunnel of light. As he grew older, he developed increased spiritual awareness, reverence toward God, and intuitive feelings about future events. In 1998, he had a second experience where he left his body and met his deceased grandmother in a blue tunnel with white light. She informed him of the pending arrival of a son, which came true in 1999. During this second experience, she emphasized that life is all about love and expressed her continuing love for him.
