Kane experienced a cerebral hematoma from a burst blood vessel in January 2002, dying multiple times and being resuscitated three times while in a coma on life support. His heart rate dropped to 4 beats per minute. During his three-day death experience, he had continuous out-of-body awareness with 360-degree vision and instant telepathic knowledge of others' thoughts and feelings. He could simultaneously observe multiple locations - being with a person while also watching his body. He experienced electric colors, fantastic smells, and felt wrapped in warm, loving arms despite having no physical form. He witnessed visitors around his bed including a lady placing a lavender candle that was hidden before he woke (later found). He experienced the paradox of time and no-time coexisting, had multiple self-directed life reviews, understood the simple secret to life, and received visions of future events including nuclear explosion in North Korea and economic downturn. He was told God was equal to all people. After the experience, he felt the physical world was cold, heavy, and unreal compared to the death state. He continues to experience physical contact from the other side during anxious moments and has ongoing psychic sensitivities.
