At age three in June 1992, Justin fell from his father's shoulders onto rocks at a Renaissance fair in Pennsylvania when his father ran from a bee. He was knocked unconscious and suffered a serious head injury. During his unconscious state, he found himself in complete darkness that had a strange quality - dark yet he could see the area around him clearly. He felt a strong presence and engaged in dialogue with a being who held him still with incredible loving strength. The being explained he had suffered an injury and had to hold him. When Justin asked if he would be alright, the being replied in a loving, fatherly voice that he would be. A window or hole manifested showing his father and doctor around a metal chair where his body lay. Despite wanting to stay with the loving presence, he was told "You have to go back, I have plans for you!" He exchanged "I love you" with the being before fading back through the window into his body. The experience made him feel stronger and more alive than ever before, with adult-level consciousness despite being only three. He identifies the being as God based on the safety and love he felt.
