Jen took a double dose of valerian root for insomnia and collapsed. After being rushed to hospital, she stopped breathing while waiting in a hallway. She felt pulled out of her body into a vast void that was both dark and light, silent and peaceful. She experienced complete stillness and awareness before being yanked back when nurses revived her. Since the experience, she has heightened awareness and can return to the void during meditation. The void gave her understanding of the cosmos.
