Francisco was practicing underwater breath-holding (apnea) during diving rescue training. After swimming 75 meters underwater, he lost consciousness. He traveled through a dark tunnel to an area of intense white light. There he met his deceased best friend Nestor, who reassured him everything would be fine in life. Francisco felt very tranquil and happy. He was pulled back, saw himself floating over people pressing his chest, then opened his eyes calm and relaxed. Witnesses said he was unconscious without breathing or pulse for significant time, revived by chest punch. One year later, his father's spirit visited him with the same reassuring message.
