Kathy was sitting on a low water crossing in the country with three friends who were fishing when sudden flood waters came rushing around the corner. The powerful current grabbed her ankles and flipped her off the bridge, trapping her inside large drainage pipes under the road. The other end was clogged with debris, leaving her stuck underwater. Initially panicking, she suddenly experienced profound peace and calm. She then found herself standing on top of the bridge looking down through the road at her body flopping in the water below. She could see herself from above but couldn't see her spiritual self on the bridge. She calmly accepted her fate thinking "well this is it!" with no fear, just peaceful acceptance. The water pressure eventually burst through the debris, shooting her out the other side where a friend helped pull her from the river. The experience left her without fear of death.
