In April 2003, Denver had a massive blood clot break off and enter his lungs. With both lungs filling with blood (80% left, 60% right), he was given less than 15% chance of recovery. During this crisis in the ICU, Christ's warm commanding voice asked him "Denver, are you prepared to leave?" He pleaded to live because his best friend hadn't accepted Christ and his mother would be destroyed without him. The room became brighter than normal when Christ spoke.
He then floated and traversed over the greenest prairie of tall grass, more exhilarating than any roller coaster. In the center was an ancient Holy tree he believed was the Tree of Life. Beings of all spectrums of light floated about. All beings chanted graces of God and praised Him. There was no pain or suffering, only euphoric calm. He was pulled back through a dark tunnel to the ICU where staff were preparing to transfer him for emergency surgery. When he arrived at the regional hospital 45 minutes later, the pulmonary expert ran tests but couldn't find anything wrong, saying "Doctor, you send me a dying boy needing surgery and I'll be damned if I can find a thing wrong with him!" The original doctor called it a miracle from God.
