As a child in August 1979, Decembra was swimming with a friend and swam too far across a lake to get back. She began to panic and go under water. Suddenly all pain and anxiety disappeared as everything went black. She could see images in the distance that she described as "bubbles" appearing one at a time before zipping away. These images showed herself with her mother, family, and friends.
