Christina fell and hit her head on a golf course at night after drinking. Three people she had just met that evening thought she was dead and spent 5-10 minutes trying to wake her, shaking her in panic. During this time, she experienced looking down on herself and the three people from above, feeling pity for them "way down there." She felt like she was being plummeted back into her body against her will, devastated to return.
She heard voices as she approached her body, including a girl saying "You have a little girl, don't you? She said she had a daughter." This reminded her of her responsibility to her child. Upon return, she wept inconsolably, telling them her mother had died (found in a fire when Christina was 16). She was actually crying because she thought she'd never see heaven again after years of feeling like a lost soul and binge drinking to escape. The experience showed her earth's suffering versus heaven's complete unity and love. She had been using alcohol to cope with her mother's traumatic death. The NDE brought her poetry back and relief knowing there's more than earthly existence. Her deceased grandmother later appeared in a dream saying she had intervened so Christina could live, but was annoyed she wasn't living fully. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Looking down from above, hearing earthly voices while in spiritual state, experiencing complete love and unity, returning for maternal responsibility, and encounters with deceased relatives in dreams align with biblical accounts. Unbiblical elements: While the experience helped her spiritually, she states she no longer believes most things in the Bible and feels something is being hidden. This post-NDE rejection of biblical authority contradicts Christian teaching.
