Charles was crushed under a 5-ton truck's front tire on his first day of work. The truck stalled, and while trying to hit the starter with a hammer from underneath, it jumped backward onto him. He experienced his last gasp, then all pain disappeared as he watched from above while emergency personnel worked on his crushed body. A police officer found him and called for help. Charles coded twice roadside and was pronounced gone before being revived.
