At age 14, Chari was in a severe car accident where the vehicle went airborne and landed in trees. She fell 20+ feet into a creek bed, suffering head concussion, broken pelvis, fractured leg with 10 fractures, and other injuries. She had previously dreamed of this exact accident at age 10. Upon awakening, she found herself in a dark area with beings walking toward an orange burning light at the end of a tunnel. Not wanting to be near them or the dark light, she was pulled upward by a tugging sensation in her chest toward an expanding light filled with bright colors.
She encountered her deceased great-grandfather and little brother who had died at age 2. They communicated telepathically, with her great-grandfather warning her about Earth's future mass extinction and telling her life would get much worse if she returned. She saw her body in the creek, her friend's lifeless body, the car in trees, and emergency responders discussing her. Her family members appeared, including her mother who tried to convince her to enter a house, but she refused knowing it would prevent return. Her great-grandfather became extremely upset, warning "The next time you come out of the earth, it won't be as easy. Your life won't get any better." Despite warnings, she chose to return for her children. A whirlwind carried her back, she re-entered her body, and immediately saw the scene exactly as viewed from above. Her friend died in the accident.
