Brian suffered a severe motorcycle accident at age 18, breaking his right femur in two places, rupturing his spleen, and suffering a compound fracture of his left wrist. In the emergency room, he experienced looking down on himself from above, observing medical staff cutting off his clothes and inserting a catheter, with no pain. Everything appeared vivid white and three-dimensional. Two days later, while suffering from pneumonia, he had a vision of an Olympic-sized pool where his deceased uncle (who died when Brian was 5) appeared. They jumped off the diving board together, and his uncle told him everything would be okay and he would live. He felt profound peace, joy, and happiness. The experience changed his spiritual life dramatically, leading to regular church attendance and deep faith in God's love.
