As a child, Cathy was hiding from an abductor in trees when she suffocated from covering her mouth and nose to avoid detection. She experienced clinical death with cessation of breathing. Her entire life flashed before her, including pre-birth memories. She left her body and looked down at herself without fear, thinking her attacker would leave and she'd breathe again. She was pulled toward a brilliant white light where she saw the outline of adult figures. After a brief moment, she was pulled back to her body and began breathing again. The attacker had left and it was now dark. The experience gave her lasting spiritual awareness and psychic abilities including ESP and premonitions. She could see her life through others' eyes during the life review, understanding how her actions affected them.
