Carl fell asleep while driving through the Santa Cruz mountains and crashed into telephone poles at 60-70 mph. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a nurse and her husband. During his NDE, he watched his car crash from outside his body, was shot through a tunnel of light, and stood before Christ who showed him his entire life. Christ told him it wasn't his time and that he would have a son (which came true three years later to the day). He received a message from Christ to tell everyone: "They must learn to love all that is around you. They must learn to love our God OR return to this world and live life all over again." After the experience, he became a known Christian artist and has saved five lives. He had a premonition of this event two weeks prior when "the sleeper woke up" and the devil tried to turn him.
