Allen, a musician interested in healing and life after death, collapsed unexpectedly at a Thai restaurant during his girlfriend's birthday dinner. His color changed dramatically from red to grey/pale as if all blood was draining, and he lost control of breathing before sliding into a wall and falling to the floor. Restaurant staff and his girlfriend found no breathing or pulse, believing he had died. During the NDE, Allen traveled through darkness at incredible speeds "as if on a magic carpet" to different places at speeds that don't exist on earth. He entered a tunnel that became progressively brighter with absolutely unbelievable light. Upon stopping, he was greeted by voices/people he doesn't remember in a place of absolute peace, love, and welcome. He pleaded not to return but was told clearly: "ALLAN, THIS IS NOT YOUR TIME NOW, THERE ARE THINGS THAT YOU MUST STILL DO ON EARTH, YOUR LIFE IS STILL AHEAD OF YOU THEREFORE YOU MUST RETURN!" He then opened his eyes to find his girlfriend crying hysterically on the restaurant floor. Hospital tests found nothing wrong. The experience remains vivid after many years and has helped him comfort others who doubt life or fear death.
