Stephen was stabbed repeatedly and shot twice in spine by a gang. In ER, he observed from above as doctor said "He won't be here in the morning" and told cop to take belongings to property. He saw himself on table with doctors and two policemen, then viewed hospital from above. Entered space of light with no tunnel, just light everywhere. Three beings appeared and offered him choice to stay or return with new healing/teaching spirit in his tough survivor form.
After waking five days later in ICU, he had a second voice in head for 15 years until accepting Spirit in 1988. Then gained instant knowledge of healing arts (Reiki, Acupuncture, Tai Chi), could see people's restrictions, connect to their higher selves, know their truth behind cover stories. Also gained knowledge of universe's other inhabitants. The beings took physical form so his conscious mind could understand them. On other side: no hell, only peace, joy, connectedness to all-that-is. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Near-death from violence, out-of-body experience, beings of light, choice to return, transformation and healing gifts afterward. Peace and joy in afterlife. Unbiblical elements: No hell mentioned (contradicts Scripture), beings wanting to give him "new spirit" (possession-like), instant occult knowledge (Reiki, etc.), connection to "higher selves," knowledge of "other inhabitants" of universe (possible demonic deception).
