Shari R experienced a ruptured cyst causing severe pain and loss of consciousness with little to no pulse or oxygen. As paramedics arrived, she transitioned from cold and painful physical reality to a warm, beautiful outdoor scene. She found herself walking along a riverbank with three beings of light and shadow, experiencing complete freedom from pain, extraordinary strength, and pure joy. The environment was vividly detailed - she heard rushing water, saw light glimmering on stones, felt pebbles beneath her feet, and brushed aside tree branches. She carried a walking stick and felt weightless despite the physical sensations.
During the experience, she had the humorous thought about paramedics seeing her unconscious body grinning, which made her chuckle. The beings were guiding her somewhere when suddenly she was pulled back to the cold, heavy, painful reality of her body. A paramedic shone a light in her eyes saying "Okay, stay with us now." The return brought excruciating pain and medical procedures that felt like torture compared to the blissful river scene. Time seemed infinite during the brief ten seconds she was unconscious. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience features beings of light possibly representing angels, a paradise-like natural setting reminiscent of Eden or heavenly descriptions, complete healing and freedom from pain, supernatural joy and peace, and enhanced sensory perception typical of spiritual experiences.
