During 1973 surgery with Ketalar anesthesia for vaginal cyst removal, Gail coughed violently and couldn't breathe, dying clinically (purple with bulging eyes). She left her body seeing doctors working on her, passed through darkness into an eternal river of translucent geometric polygons in pastel colors. Overcome with terrible sadness and loneliness in this infinite realm, she longed for the physical world. She knew of a point of no return ahead but chose not to cross. A tremendous force pushed her back through her anus into her body. The doctor had her passport ready to notify the embassy of her death. Experience led to extensive spiritual searching, study of Kabbalah, and development of healing abilities.
