Norma's car hydroplaned and slid sideways into an oncoming car that hit her passenger-side front door. She heard the crash and screams, then immediately found herself in a different realm. An older woman on her right was escorting or introducing her to this new place.
The environment had a golden-peach colored atmosphere with music of an unfamiliar genre played on unidentifiable instruments. A large group of people stood about fifty feet away, facing her, there to welcome her. She "knew" they were welcoming her though she didn't recognize anyone specifically. The escort communicated telepathically rather than verbally. Norma felt incredible peace, joy, love, and unity with the world. She was suddenly told mentally that she would return to life for another "season." She definitely did not want to return, but heard a distant voice calling repeatedly "Miss, are you alright?" from a store employee beside her car door. The ER doctor dismissed her experience, insisting she had simply blacked out. The experience made dealing with death easier for Norma. She no longer grieves for the loss of deceased loved ones beyond missing their presence, knowing they are in a better place. She shared this with dying patients during her geriatric nursing career, believing it comforted them to know there is life after life.
