Mitch R, after taking a new diabetic injection, experienced severe anaphylactic shock while driving. His face, tongue, hands, and feet swelled severely. He made it to a hospital parking lot and collapsed after praying "God please don't let me die like this today." He was found unresponsive with no blood pressure and faint pulse. During this state, he experienced being in a light blue mist or cloud with no physical sensations - no pain, no need to breathe. He felt the most wonderful peaceful feeling of wellbeing and comfort ever known, like a sanctuary beyond physical boundaries where spirits go when leaving the body. He heard a young woman's voice calling him back. He wanted to respond but could only manage a few breaths. He was lifted and floated to the emergency room where he was revived with medications. The experience gave him perfect peace and understanding about death. He now uses this knowledge to comfort dying patients and their families at the VA hospital where he works.
