Mary Lu was in a car accident in June 1984 and had to be resuscitated five times at Wesley Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. She went through a safe, comfortable darkness into brilliant, wonderful light that made her feel everything good. In the light, she experienced serenity, peace, happiness beyond description - she describes multiplying happiest feelings times hundred million still doesn't come close. Her deceased grandmother met her and told her God wasn't finished with her and had something left for her to do, sending her back. She felt privileged to know there is afterlife. Experience eliminated her fear of death, reduced her anger, made her more selective about what matters. She became more sensitive to reading people. Left organized church due to intolerance for being told how to believe.
