Leeta experienced severe hemorrhaging that lasted four days after her menstrual cycle never stopped. She was weakening to the point of passing out every few feet. On the fourth day, her mother took her to the hospital where she experienced clinical death. During her NDE, she had an out-of-body experience where she observed herself from ceiling level, watching doctors working on her body. She felt complete peace and wellbeing, with no pain whatsoever. She tried to communicate to the doctors that it was "too late" and to "let her go," but realized dead people cannot speak. She experienced complete separation from her body and felt wonderful. She did not experience a tunnel, bright light, deceased relatives, or life review. She awoke to a doctor yelling at her about sexual relations, which she found devastating after such a peaceful experience. A woman in the next bed provided comfort with humor about the doctor.
