Kerryanne became conscious during gallbladder surgery (cholecystectomy) and was freezing cold. She could smell strong antiseptic, hear a continual beep from the heart monitor, hear conversation above her, and felt tight clamping over her abdomen. She tried desperately to alert staff but couldn't open her eyes or move. Suddenly the beeping quickened then leveled out. She calmly thought "I'm dying" and felt no fear despite always being terrified of death. She felt everything coming together inside her with incredible warmth and joy. She felt herself rising upward, still hearing the flat-line sound clearly though out of body. She didn't see a tunnel but believes it will happen next time. The happiness she felt was deeper than even her ecstatic love with her partner - she would give anything to feel that way again. She immediately told recovery room staff and a friend present. She had another similar experience waking during surgery in 1992.
