Kerry was severely depressed after someone she liked moved overseas for military service. She attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. Her sister found her and called an ambulance. During transport, someone said they were losing her. She experienced being whisked through a dark tunnel at high speed toward a blindingly bright light. She floated above a field of flowers and saw the pearly gates, which were beautiful beyond imagination. Through the gates she saw roads of emerald, diamonds, and gold everywhere - everything sparkly and breathtaking. She saw the Heavenly Father on a throne with a bright whitish glow. She begged to enter heaven but was told "You can't get in here, it's not your time to go." Then everything reversed - back through the flowers, light, tunnel, and darkness. The experience completely changed her life, making her unafraid to die and giving her occasional premonitions that come true. She later had a daughter and granddaughter.
